Fidget Cube – Product Visualisation for DTC and B2B Marketing

Here I talk through a personal project where I wanted to take a real product and build a full 3D visualisation from scratch. I picked a fidget cube (someone on TikTok got furious that I called it a Fidget Dice 😅). Using calipers, I measured it and built a 3D CAD model in Plasticity, then refined it in Blender and Cinema 4D—adding a set, lighting, textures, animation, and sound.

But could I fidget with it?

To find out, I created a simplified version and brought it into Spline, where I added interaction states. That allowed me to export a browser-based interactive product demo—which I could click, spin, and explore in real time.

This project shows how physical products can be turned into full 3D product visualisations for marketing—complete with motion design, animation, and interactive experiences. These assets are ideal for DTC product launches and B2B marketing, giving customers and decision-makers a way to explore your product’s functionality on mobile or desktop—before they ever hold it in their hands.
